Educators teaching international students are challenged to develop curriculum appropriate to a diverse group of learners allowing for culturally preferred ways of learning. Prompted by educational policy over the past decade, the technological infrastructure in academic institutions worldwide has advanced where online and blended learning is a reality. Students are progressively more oriented to computers yet it seems teachers are lagging behind and need incentive and support to use multimedia in their teaching.

I am a Geek! is designed to orient teachers to the theory and practice of using technology in teaching. It offers a series of training videos integrating various tools to guide teachers in building their own multimedia materials and includes a teacher support forum. Both online and face-to-face ongoing professional support programs can be developed to meet specific needs of teachers and students.
